Ravula Dedicates Win to Late Grandfather

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s win in Suva yesterday was a very special one for young Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.

A few weeks ago Ravula missed the game against the Hurricanes in Suva because he was in New Zealand to bury his grandfather.

“It’s been a very tough month for me and for my family. My grandfather meant the world to me. He taught us the value of hardwork and unity as a family.”

Not only Ravula help the home side win, he said it was extra special “because today is his birthday and I know he is watching me from heaven.”

Ravula also relished the win as this is first game at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

“To win here today is extra special. Suva is special.”

The team departs for Dunedin next Friday and when they return they get ready to face Melbourne Rebels in the last round at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
