Radovu joins Team Fiji squad to Oceania Athletics champs

Coca Cola Games 400m gold medallist potential Torika Radovu is among nine athletes chosen to represent Fiji at the Oceania Area Athletics Championships in Australia next week.

Radovu caught the eye when she set a new 400m Sub Junior girls record during the Triple N zone while running for Davuilevu High.

She will be running in two U18 events – in the 400m and 200m races – at the OAAC scheduled for 7-11 June in Mackay, Queensland.

Radovu is joined by Fiji’s sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro. Yeshnil Karan, Ratu Meli Romuakalou, Kameli Sauduadua, Waisele Inoke, Nikola Raiqeu, Braelynn Yee, and Vilimaina Naituku. The team will be accompanied by Antonio Raboiliku and Bola Tafo’ou.

At the completion of these championships Tabakaucoro, Karan and Yee will then travel on to Saipan for the Pacific Mini Games whilst the rest of the Team will return home.

Funding to these championships is being provided by Oceania Athletics, World Athletics, Athletics Fiji, and FMF Foods Ltd.
