Rabele names star-studded Bati squad for Rugby League World Cup

Fiji Bati head coach Joe Rabele has named a star-studded side for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.

Fijian players in the NRL who have made the cut include, Viliame Kikau, Apisai Koroisau, Mikaele Ravalawa, Marcelo Montoya, Sunia Turuva, Kevin Naiqama, Semi Valemei, Waqa Blake, Taane Milne, Tariq Sims, Reagan Campbell Gillard, the Saifiti brothers, and Tui Kamikamica.

Other players that do make up the squad are players from the Super League and players who are playing in minor competitions in Australia.

Iosefo Masi and Kane Evans have been omitted from the squad

Former Fiji 7s player Taniela Sadrugu has forced his way into the team as well after an impressive debut season in the Queensland Cup.

Head Coach Rabele says these are the best players available that can do the job for the Bati and the fans back at home.

Despite the lure of wearing the Kangaroos jumper for Koroisau and the Saifiti brothers, Rabele says the interest is there but the door will always be open for the players.
