Qualifiers for Vanua Championship finale confirmed

Northland Rugby dominate the Vanua Championship grand finale qualifiers, with two of their teams advancing past the semi-final rounds.

Qualified for the Vanua Championship finale from the semi-finals this weekend are Northland’s Under-19 and main men’s teams; Ba U-19s, Rewa main team and the Macuata and Serua women’s teams.

Northland men which is coached by former 7s player Aisake Katonibau will take on Rewa in the main final, Macuata and Serua women vie for the women’s title whilst Northland face Ba in the U19 match-up.

In making the grand final, the Northland and Rewa main teams earn Super Premier promotion and qualify for the Skipper Cup competition, one year after being relegated. The two teams were relegated to Vanua Championship after finishing in the bottom two spots of the 2019 Skipper Cup competition.
