Police Blue are the top seeds into the second leg of Fiji Rugby’s Super 7s Series next month in Nadi.
The side overcame a spirited Raiwasa Taveuni side in a close encounter 7-5 to win the first leg of the series at Lawaqa Park last weekend.
Today, the team presented their Lawaqa Park winnings to Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu.
Receiving the trophy, Tudravu acknowledged and congratulated the side for the win.
Meanwhile, their win in Sigatoka catapults the side to the top of the series table with 22 points. They also lead Pool A of the second round of the series, in Nadi on 19-20 February, ahead of Uluinakau, Fire and BLK Stallions.
Raiwasa Taveuni lead Pool B and include Tabadamu, Wadigi Salvo, and Eastern Saints. Pool C has LAR Barbarians, Police White, Wardens and the 16th team to be confirmed. Ratu Filise head Pool D ahead of Army, Domionion Brothers and Nawaka.
