Observe COVID-safety protocols, visitors to health premises advised

Fiji’s Ministry of Health is advising members of the public to observe COVID-19 safety procedures, including mask wearing and observing physical distancing protocols, when visiting hospitals.

To this end, the ministry also urges visiting persons to bring their own masks to health premises as mask stocks in these facilities may be limited to cater to those seeking care.

Out of care for vulnerable patients, visitors not adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols in such premises will be dealt with by health authorities.

“It must also be noted that hospitals are reserved the right to refuse entry to persons not adhering to COVID-19 safety measures within its premises where appropriate as it strives to protect vulnerable patients under its care.”
