Northland Leadership Won’t Be Easy: Muller

John Muller, a 22-year-old prop who came through Fiji Rugby’s age-grade development, knows that leading the Northland rugby team in this year’s Vodafone Cup competition won’t be an easy ride.

Being named the team’s captain was an honour for him and he would do his utmost best to help steer his side to a good standing in the 2024 season.

“We have the players, we have the expertise and the heart and all we need is to deliver on game day and make it count where it matters most, on the scoreboard,” Muller said, adding that the team’s goal is to make it to the Skipper competition.

The Northern Bulls will play Rewa at Burebasaga District School this Saturday and Ovalau at Nasau Park the following week.

“All teams in the Vodafone Vanua Cup want to progress to the Skipper Cup so we know everyone will be putting in the extra effort in every game,” Muller added.

Muller also featured for Fiji in the U20 World Cup in 2021 and was part of the Fiji Warriors side that won the Pacific Rugby Cup last year.
