Fiji’s Ministry of Health has reported a clean slate, the sixth day going, with no new COVID-19 case recorded.
Today marks the sixth day since the country’s last reported case.
In a statement, the ministry said no new cases of COVID-19 has been recorded since the last update on Saturday, 19 January.
Fiji’s total COVID-19 case stands at 55 since the first case on 19 March 2020, with a recovery rate of 96%.
Of the 55, 18 were community-transmission cases, and the last 37 have been “international-travel associated detected in border quarantine.”
It has been 279 days since the last case was detected outside border quarantine, and 309 days since Fiji’s first case.
Fiji has carried out 24,545 tests to date – which equates to a positive test generated for every 446 tests done.
