The Fiji Immigration Department today unveiled a brand-new website aimed at attracting investors, employers, and business entities while enhancing the overall experience for applicants.
Launching the website, Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua says the website is designed to attract individuals with the skills and qualifications that the country needs.
The revamped website serves as a comprehensive “one-stop shop” for information on all immigration services, providing easy access to application forms and reference documents to assist with the submission of applications.
One of the standout features of the new website is its capacity to facilitate interactions with immigration officers. Applicants will have the ability to track or follow up on their applications, especially if they have surpassed the expected timeline.
“A dedicated communication officer will be assigned to provide updates to follow-up inquiries,” Tikoduadua said.
The website has also been crafted to incorporate a reporting mechanism for suspicious activities “including indicators of transnational crime, human trafficking, exploitation and any form of violation of foreign workers rights.”
