National Club Championship Teams Set; Ba’s Dayal Sawmillers Support Competition

Twelve teams are gearing up to compete in the Dayal Sawmillers 2025 National Club Championship, kicking off early next month.

Speaking at the signing of their sponsorship coverage today, Managing Director of the company Praneel Dayal said they were proud to be associated with the move to grow the sport of soccer in Fiji, beginning with grassroot development.

“This sport is a growing sport and we at Dayal Sawmillers are adamant to offer our support to the grassroot development of it where most of the work is being done, where all the hard work takes place.”

“This is a sport that is very close to our hearts being big supporters of the Ba Football side and we hope that our support for the tournament will go a long way in shaping the sport that we all love.”

Twelve clubs from across the country have been confirmed for the zonal playoffs, which will determine who advances to the national finals next month.

In the Northern Division, defending champions Northpole FC from Labasa will face Legends FC of Taveuni in a one-off playoff. The winner will represent the North in the final stage.

The Southern Division features six clubs: Narere Buses Combine FC (Suva), Combine Verata FC (Rewa), Friends United (Nasinu), Police FC (Tailevu Naitasiri), League FC (Navua), and Lami Rangers (Lami). These teams will be split into two pools of three. Pool winners will qualify directly for the finals, while the runners-up will play off for the third southern spot.

In the Western Division, 4R FC (Ba), Ray United FC (Lautoka), Army FC (Nadi), and Downtown FC (Nadroga) will compete in a round-robin format. The top two teams will qualify for the national playoffs.

The Southern Zone playoffs will be held at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa from December 5–8, while the Western Zone matches will take place at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba from December 4–7.
