Fiji’s Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) welcomed a new leader today, as lawyer Nancy Tikoisuva was appointed Acting Director of Public Prosecutions.
In a brief statement this evening, the Office of the DPP announced the appointment stating that Tikoisuva was looking “forward to this new journey and has encouraged the staff to continue to strive for excellence.”
Tikoisuva replaces John Rabuku, who was farewelled by colleagues last night after nine months in the role. The change in leadership follows the revocation of Rabuku’s appointment when the Supreme Court ruled him ineligible for the role.
