The Naitasiri team knows that Malolo has upset a few big teams in provincial rugby in Fiji and have re-grouped and work on ways to counter the Westerners fast paced game.
Captain Jone Naqiri said they were working towards perfecting some areas they need to improve on ahead of facing Malolo.
“We are not in any way underestimating Malolo, never. They are a strong side and we know they are as hungry as we are for a win. We have a lot of respect for them.”
“We will work on areas that we lacked in so we can be fully prepared come Saturday next week.”
Rupeni Nasiga, coach for the Malolo side said his young side was ready for the final.
“This team has worked so hard with the limited resources that we have. We come from the islands but if there is one thing that I admire about these boys it’s the unity, team spirit and the hardwork they put in.”
The former Flying Fijian and Nadroga rep said the men from Malolo will give their all at the finals of the Skipper Cup provincial rugby tournament at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
