Head Coach Mick Byrne said it was pleasing to see Muntz having a run with the squad.
“Muntz is an epitome of professionalism. Today he was out there on the field having an unopposed session with the backs unit. He will need to be cleared medically before he returns to full training next week.”
Forward Etonia Waqa who had sustained an ankle injury during the Western Force game three weeks ago is also raring to get back into training.
“Etonia is training well. He is back it and giving his best in the sessions. The same goes for Sailosi Vukalokalo who is continuing training also.”
Byrne also said that the players in the Fijian Drua who haven’t been playing but are running onto the field at the weekly Skipper Cup fixtures are being monitored for progress also.
“We have people who go and watch them, we get sent footage from their games and it’s pleasing to see the guys doing really well in the Skipper Cup. They’re meeting their targets and it’s good to see that progress.”
On the weekend, Fred Ralulu and Taniela Ramasibana. Taniela Rakuro and Waqa Nalaga have also recently run on for Nadroga including Sikeli Rabitu for Lautoka.
