MPAISA Scam Suspect Escapes Hospital; Authorities Launch Search

One of the three people accused of the MPAISA Scam, reported over the weekend, during which more than $8,000 was transferred from a Nabua-based supermarket, is currently on the run.

Sanjeet Narayan, a thirty-six-year-old mechanic from Viseisei in Vuda, managed to escape from the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Livai Driu said that Narayan had been taken to the hospital after 1 am, “and while receiving treatment, he managed to escape.”

Driu added that a team had been formed and was currently searching for him.

At the time of his escape, Narayan was dressed in a black Fijian Drua shirt and 3/4 pants.
