In recognising the importance of growing the sport of soccer in Fiji, fuelling giants Mobil Fiji have renewed their sponsorship with the Fiji Football Association.
Chief Executive Officer of Petro Oceania Energy Pte Ltd, James Marryatt, owners of Mobil Oil (Fiji), said the renewal was part of their support for local sports.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Fiji FA. Football is a sport that unites communities, and we are delighted to play a part in its growth. By fueling Fiji FA’s fleet, we are ensuring that players, coaches, and officials can focus on the game without worrying about transport challenges,” Mr. Marryatt stated.
In thanking Mobil Oil, Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel said with fuel being a big part of the operations of the national body, they were grateful for the support rendered by the company.
“Our teams travel frequently, and fuel is one of our biggest expenses. Mobil Oil’s support allows us to focus more on football development rather than operational costs. We sincerely thank them for believing in our vision,” Mr. Patel said.
“The renewed sponsorship strengthens the relationship between Fiji FA and Mobil Oil (Fiji) as we work together to support football development across the country.”
Fiji FA operates a large fleet, including a 60-seater bus, a 30-seater bus, and multiple company vehicles. With teams and officials traveling across the country for tournaments, development programs, and football operations, the sponsorship provides significant savings and ensures smooth logistics.
