A man in his 20s suspected of raping a woman in her late 70s before stealing her mobile phone and cash will be appearing in a magistrates court in Suva today.
The accused is alleged to have, on the night of 30 July, forcefully entered the victim’s home and committed the offense.
Fiji Police have charged him with three counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, one count of burglary, one count of theft, one count of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault.
The victim’s mobile phone was recovered in a neighbour’s compound.
