Fiji Police have charged a man in his 20s alleged to have broken into and stolen items worth more than $4000 from a temple in Sigatoka this month.
The accused from Vunakavika Settlement in Nayawa is alleged to have broken into the Ram Mandir Temple in Kulukulu.
He has been charged with one count of sacrilege and will be produced at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today.
Police said majority of the items have been recovered.
