A police constable and his K9 tracked and recovered mats and masi (tapa) that were stolen from the home of a 60-year-old in Navatuvula village, Sawani.
PC Filipe Vocea and his K9 were sent off after receiving the complaint, tracking the suspect towards the Waimanu River and onto a location where they found the stolen items in an abandoned car.
Further investigations by police led to the arrest of the suspect shortly after.
The stolen items were also returned to the owner.
PC Vocea is based at the Raralevu Police K9 unit.
