Four Debutants in Fijian Drua Line-Up Against Auckland Blues

Former Suva Grammar School student Sikeli Rabitu is one of four debutants alongside Isaiah Armstrong Ravula, Epeli Momo, and Mesake Vocevoce named in the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua match-day squad against the Auckland Blues this weekend in Whangarei.

Coach Mick Byrnes today named what is a good mix of old and young players for the Drua’s Super Rugby Pacific 2024 opening match with Meli Derenalagi taking charge.

Livai Natave, Tevita Ikanivere, and Mesake Doge are the props, locks are Isoa Nasilasila and Leone Rotuisolia, with Etonia Waqa and Elia Canakaivata to man the flanks and Captain Derenalagi at No 8.

Frank Lomani starts at fullback, while Armstrong-Ravula is at fly-half. On the wings are Selestino Ravutaumada and Epeli Momo, whilst the blockbusting Iosefo Masi and Apisalome Vota make up the midfield combo and Rabitu is at fullback.

The impact players are Mesulame Dolokoto, Emosi Tuqiri, Jone Koroiduadua, Mesake Vocevoce, Vilive Miramira, Peni Matawalu, Kemu Valetini and Tuidraki Samusamuvodre.

The game will kick off at 3.45 pm (Fiji Time) at Semenoff Stadium.
