Former Flying Fijian Joeli Veitayaki has sadly passed away in New Zealand.
The father of current Fijian Drua and Flying Fijian front-rower Hereiti Hetet, Veitayaki earned 49 caps for Fiji before retiring from international rugby.
At 58 years old, he had represented Fiji in two Rugby World Cups and played for Super Rugby teams, the Blues and the Chiefs, as well as New Zealand provincial teams Northland and King Country.
Internationally, Veitayaki also played for the Irish club Ulster.
He was recently in Fiji to watch his son represent the Flying Fijians.
