FNPF warns against fraudulent COVID-19 withdrawals

The Fiji National Provident Fund warns members and employers alike against falsified COVID-19 withdrawals.

Fund’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Viliame Vodonaivalu said those who are found or engaged in such fraudulent activities will have to face the law as they have noticed an increase in applications for phase 3.

He added their verification process includes a check on members contribution and they are able to see if the members’ salary has not changed.

“Employers are requested to be honest with their application. This is of great concern, especially if the member is accessing full government top-up subsidy,” Vodonaivalu said.

Meanwhile, phase 3 round 4 cycle 2 payment is scheduled for 13 April 2021 and applications are due on 8 April 2021.
