FNPF Reintroduces Laptop Assistance For Higher Education Studies

Starting from April 15, Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) members can utilise the Education Withdrawal Benefit to acquire laptops for higher education studies.

This initiative, Fund CEO Viliame Vodonaivalu says responds to member feedback and aims to support students’ educational needs, especially in the post-pandemic era where online learning is prominent.

“We understand that not all parents can afford to equip their loved ones with additional educational tools
to support their studies and this is one way the Fund can step in to allow the inclusion of the laptop
assistance,” Vodonaivalu said.

The assistance was previously phased out in 2009 due to abuse, new controls have been implemented to minimise risks.

To access the laptop assistance, members must meet certain criteria, including having a sufficient general account balance.
