FMF Suva Women’s Rugby held their awards night on Saturday, in recognition of the achievements throughout the season in both the U20 and Senior teams.
And Coach Tavaita Rowati said having the awards was a way of letting the players know that they are valued and that their hard work is appreciated.
“These girls have worked so hard to achieve the amazing results. Most of them have been playing together and we also have some who are new, so to see the amazing results this year has been totally uplifting and encouraging.”
Rowati said their 2024 journey has not been an easy one and seeing the women achieve what she termed as the best results has been rewarding.
“These girls have pushed through a lot of negativity and obstacles, put it behind them and still delivered the best. That’s perseverance, resilience and dedication and I take my hat off to them each.”
