Iosefo Masi, Ponipate Loganimasi and Lekima Tagitagivalu have all been ruled out of the Fiji Water Flying Fijians November tour and incoming as replacements are Fijian Drua duo Kitione Salawa and Joji Nasova along with France based Setareki Tuivucu.
Making the announcement today, head coach Mick Byrne said that while it was disappointing to lose three key players, it was also an opportune time for Salawa, Nasova and Tuivucu to step up.
“With Loganimasi coming out, it gives Joji Nasova another opportunity. He showed in the PNC that he’s got a big upside to his game. And we’d like to continue growing him and giving him the opportunity to continue to grow within the team.”
“It’s disappointing when injury forces players out of a squad. But at the same time, it’s an opportunity for players to come and take their opportunity.”
