The Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad includes new players as Head Coach Mick Byrne looks to the Rugby World Cup in 2027.
Byrne says some players have played several World Cup and will be looking to retire hence the need to begin the molding of replacements.
“We are now looking to the 2027 Rugby World Cup and we know that some of the stalwarts are coming to the end of their career so we want to replace them with quality players which is why these players are in the squad now.”
Byrne said the team also wanted to end the year on a high.
“That is deftinitely the aim. We want to end the year with good results and we want to perform well, getting our game together in attack and defence and the set pieces.”
The team departed Nadi this morning and play their first test against Scotland on November 3.
