“It is about your passion. You are the titans of women’s rugby, champions in your own rights, Fiji’s President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere told the Fijiana XVs during their itatau ahead of their departure for the WXV3 competition in Dubai next week.
Noting their accomplishments, Ratu Wiliame encouraged the players to perform to their best and showcase what Fiji Rugby is known for in the international arena.
Consisting of some familiar household names in women’s rugby, the team captained by Sereima Leweniqila with the support of VCs Bitila Tawake and Rusila Nagasau received timely reminders from the president at their itatau at Government House in Suva yesterday.
The team jets out tomorrow. They will take on Colombia, Spain, and Kazakhstan in the WXV3 competition which doubles as a Women’s RWC2025 qualifier.
