Fiji Rugby today released its travelling squads for next week’s Perth Sevens.
The Fiji Airways Fijiana Women’s outfit includes Raijeli Daveua, Vani Buleki, Aloesi Nakoci, Verenaisi Bari, Elenoa Adinaimata, Lavena Cavuru, Reapi Uluinasau, Ana Naimasi, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Meredani Qoro, Younis Bese, Talei Wilson and Viniana Riwai.
In the men’s listing, head coach Ben Gollings has roped in Nagadoa, Bua native Ropate Rere in his 13-member squad.
The 2023 Pacific Games Gold Medallist reportedly stood out for the Fiji Babaas during the McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens that finished yesterday at Lawaqa Park. The national side ousted Saunaka 27-5 in the Cup Final.
Rere has been named alongside Josese Batirerega, Jeremaia Matana, Suliano Volivoli, Ponipate Loganimasi, Waisea Nacuqu, Vuiviyawa Naduvalo, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Josua Vakurunabili, Joseva Talacolo, Kaminieli Rasaku, and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.
Fiji is grouped with New Zealand, France and Samoa.
The Perth Sevens is scheduled for Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28.
