Fiji’s Registrar of Political Parties Ana Mataiciwa has received the notice of resignation of FijiFirst General-Secretary Aiyaz-Sayed-Khaiyum.
In a brief statement issued this hour, Mataiciwa said she received the notice today.
She also confirmed the appointment of Mr Faiyaz Koya to the role in an acting capacity.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum tendered his resignation, effective immediately, in a letter dated Saturday 9 December to the FijiFirst party, citing his medical condition.
