Drua-Chiefs’ tickets selling fast

Close to 3,000 tickets, including all $145 tickets on offer for a seat on the concrete pavilion, to the Fijian Drua versus Chiefs Super Rugby Pacific clash in Lautoka in two weeks’ time have been sold or allocated.

This leaves only around 8000 tickets to be sold to the Fijian Drua’s final Super Rugby round-robin match which will be preceded by activities involving members of the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua as well as a Vodafone Vanua clash between Lautoka and Yasawa doubling as the curtain-raiser.

“We’re delighted with the response from our fans in the West,” Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn said. “Given how fast sales are going, we encourage everyone to get their tickets early, as we don’t think there will be too many left for sale at the gates on matchday.”

Members of the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua team will also be around at the match to meet fans.

“This is just one of several celebrations we are sure will be planned for the Fijiana Drua following their amazing Super W victory. We know it will be a short break for them before they regroup to prepare for an even bigger challenge ahead – the World Cup in New Zealand.

“We’ll open gates early to ensure fans are able to come in to enjoy the Lautoka-Yasawa clash, then celebrate the Fijiana Drua and their achievements together before kick-off of the final regular-season match of the Drua and Chiefs. The equation for the big match is pretty straightforward – the Chiefs will be playing to secure a home quarter-final while we’ll be playing for our home fans.”

Tickets for the match at Churchill Park are priced as follows:

  • $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12 for the grass embankment on the TappooCity end of the field – Bronze North
  • $30 for adults and $15 for kids under 12 for the grass embankment opposite the main stadium – Bronze East
  • $95 for the Timber Grandstand (Pavilion B) – Gold
  • $95 for a temporary grandstand to be constructed adjacent to the Concrete Grandstand (Pavilion A) – Gold
