Queen Victoria School Head Boy, Anare Tabakaucoro, has been brought into the Fiji Warriors team to play in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge which starts next week in Apia, Samoa.
Coach Senirusi Seruvakula said Tabakaucoro has been outstanding from last year’s Dean’s Secondary School rugby competition and has been sighted by other clubs overseas.
“He’s a talented player and has matured a lot so we’ve brought him into the fold now before other clubs overseas get him.”
“The Fiji Warriors team is a capped team, not the Under 20’s so we’ve brought in the best 8 from the U20 to be part of the team and get capped now while they prepare for the U20 World Cup later on this year.”
A notable inclusion in the side is Meli Tuni from the Fijian Drua alongside Drua development squad member, Aisea Nawai.
