Fiji Rugby has deferred all Skipper Cup round 12 matches and the Vodafone Vanua Championship semi-finals to next week.
Games scheduled for Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10 will be played on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 respectively.
FRU Chief Executive Officer John O’Connor said venues are unavailable due in part to unpredictable weather conditions experienced around the country and in part, planned celebrations to mark the country’s 50 independence anniversary.
“We have also sought guidance from the Fiji Meteorological Service and they have confirmed that the current wet weather conditions will prevail until Sunday next week,” O’Connor said.
“We are working with the venue owners to rebook the venues for next week’s matches and the unions will be advised of the venues for the deferred rounds in the next few days.”
