Fiji Airways Fijian 7s Head Coach Ben Gollings and Fijiana 7s counterpart Saiasi Fuli have revealed their squads for the final tournaments in Toulouse and London.
Gollings and Fuli have made changes to their respective squads. Filipe Sauturaga and Paula Nayacakalou return to the fold for the men’s team, while debutants Elenoa Adinaimata and Mereseini Naidau will feature for the Fijiana. Notable absences include Pilipo Bukayaro and Napolioni Bolaca for the men’s squad, and Lavena Cavuru, Ivamere Nabura, and Viniana Riwai for the Fijiana.
Gollings stated, “The competition level within the group has been high and the best players were selected for this leg, which is a very important one before the season wraps up in London.” Fuli echoed the same sentiments, saying, “this is the best available players who are expected to assist the Fijiana 7s gain a direct qualification to the Olympic Games.”
The men’s team will face France, South Africa, and the USA in Toulouse, while the Fijiana will battle it out against Great Britain, Spain, and Japan in their pool matches.
The Toulouse 7s is scheduled for May 12-14.
