Fiji rallied to a 3-2 victory against hosts Oman at the FIH Hockey World Cup, securing their first-ever win in the tournament.
Down at the break, the Fiji Women’s hockey side came from behind and then snuck in a late goal in their win over fellow newcomers on day one of games yesterday.
Despite an earlier loss to the Netherlands (1-14), the side now faces a crucial must-win match against Malaysia today at 6.30pm (Fiji Time) for a shot at the quarter-finals.
