Fiji lock Tevita Ratuva is bound for a return to French’s Top 14 competition soon after signing with Brive.
Scarlets General Manager Jon Daniels confirmed the news in an update on their website.
Brive confirmed the same in an update on their website as well, stating that Ratuva has signed for Brive for two seasons, beginning next season.
Jeremy Davidson, Manager of CA Brive said: “Tevita is already an indisputable holder of the Fiji team when he is only 25 years old. He is a very athletic and powerful player both in attack and defense from the height of his two meters and 120 kg. He will be able to integrate perfectly into our workforce because he has already lived in France. “
At Brive, Ratuva will link up with the likes of Kitione Kamikamica and Setareki Tuivucu.
Popularly known as Tex, Ratuva has been with Wales-based Scarlets’ for two seasons after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Before Scarlets, Ratuva played his professional rugby with French Top 14 side Bordeax-Beagles after a stint with Brisbane City in Australia’s National Rugby Championship 2017.
Ratuva made his debut for Fiji against the Maori All Blacks in July 2019 but had to wait a month later to pick up his first Test cap in the Pacific Nations Cup tournament, against Canada.
