Fiji’s Assistant Commissioner of Corrections Senior Superintendent Salote Panapasa, has been sent on leave effective tomorrow, Friday, 24 May 2023, pending the results of an investigation by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
In a statement, the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) acknowledges that Senior Superintendent Panapasa is innocent until proven guilty and understands the importance of allowing FICAC to conduct its investigation without interference.
The FCS also assures the public that its operations will continue as usual during this period.
