The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) is in the process of undertaking a comprehensive review of taxi fares, as such invites submissions from taxi operators and members of the public.
Stakeholders are invited to provide their views, comments, and suggestions on current and future taxi fares.
The announcement comes almost a week since the new bus fares came into effect.
FCCC advises taxi operators who wish to make submissions to include necessary documentation amongst these their taxi permits, financials for the past three years, weekly income of the driver(s), and the owner of the taxi (if the taxi is contracted to a driver) including the proposed taxi fares with justification.
All submissions, which are to be in writing, will be closed at 4pm on Friday, 3 June 2022.
