Fiji Police have confirmed that a man seen in a widely circulated video beating his daughter is in remand.
Ratu Kinijoji Katonivere, 43, is facing a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm over the incident that happened on January 2 this year.
Police say the video surfaced after his remand.
He is due back in court on February 19 for bail application.
