A schoolteacher accused of raping a 4-year-old girl as she helped her get into her swimsuit, has been granted bailed.
The victim’s kindergarten teacher appeared before Magistrates Jayawardhana at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Given the seriousness of the offense, her case has been transferred to the high court where she will appear next on October 9.
The accused is alleged to have committed the offense on September 15.
The victim told her mother about the incident who then reported it to police.
She is charged with one count of rape.
