November 3, 2021

The case of a former CEO of publicly listed company found guilty of indecently assaulting a woman in his office two years ago has been adjourned to allow the defence counsel to review the victim’s impact statement.

It will now be called on Friday 18 November.

The former company executive appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili in court today for the victim’s statement to be heard and sentencing hearing after he was found guilty last Friday. He was also given extended bail.

Court documents showed that the offender “unlawfully and indecently assaulted [the victim …whose name has been suppressed] by hugging her, and sniffing and kissing her neck whilst rubbing her back” when they were in his office in Suva on 15 May 2019.
