Opening a direct flight route from Fiji to China will create exponential tourist arrivals and Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Zhou Jian says the opportunities will be endless.
Speaking at an event with members of the Rewa Provincial Council who returned from a study tour to China, Ambassador Jian urged the Fiji government to consider opening such a route given the close relations between the two nations.
“I guarantee that the tourist arrivals will be boosted. As it is right now so many Chinese nationals are coming to Fiji to visit and invest so just imagine what a direct flight route will do.”
“There are many people from China who are looking to Fiji as a wedding destination and to come here for holidays and the opportunities will be endless if this would happen.”
The meeting discussed the study tour which involved visits to villages around China where the delegation from the Rewa Provincial Council were introduced to models of livelihood empowerment structures.
