Motikai Murray’s outing since joining the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has been steady and is proving a success.
On the weekend, Murray was named in the lineup and Byrne says that everything the player is showing so far is promising.
“He’s young and has a long way to go. He did very well and I’m pleased with his progress.”
Byrne says that with the current standing at number 8, the team know the importance of winning the rest of the games this season.
“We’re at number 8 and if anything we want to keep moving up so we can qualify for the quarters.”
The team stayed on in Australia after their game against the ACT Brumbies last Saturday because they take on the Western Force at the HBF Park in Perth this weekend.
The game will kick off at 11.55pm on Saturday.
