Boxing proceeds to help WOWS kids Fiji

The Stratum Construction ZEG Kings ‘This is Boxing’ event, happening on November 1, will donate part of its gate proceeds to WOWs Kids Fiji, a national organization supporting children with cancer.

The 13 fights of 10 rounds each is set to draw the crowd as some of Fiji’s finest will take to the ring with opponents from overseas at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

WOWs Kids Mere Williams expressed appreciation and delight at the initiative by the boxing promoters.

“We are so very grateful that we have been thought of in this way. Any help towards WOWs Kids is always appreciated but with ZEG especially we have a working relationship with them and are very grateful always for all the support they have given us over the years.”

Nahroon Buksh, promoter for ZEG Kings Boxing Promotion said the November 1st event is confirmed to feature a fight card with boxers from Fiji, Australia and other countries.

In the main fight, Binnu Singh and Apichart Klintai will battle it out while other fights expect to be exciting ones also.

“This is definitely going to be a boxing championship like no other. The boxers we have lined up are the best in their category and we urge fans to come along not only to watch but to support our cause to donate a portion of our gate takings to WOWs Kids Fiji.”

“WOWs Kids Fiji is doing so much for children in Fiji and we must work together to help do the work that they do.”

ZEG Group Human Resource Manager Danielle Lihoreau said the company was proud to be part of a worthy cause.

“This is our way to showing support WOWs Kids so that they can know that they are cared for. We have been supporting them for a number of years and we will continue doing so.”
