Ajay Bhai Amrit has been appointed as the new chairman of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) Board.
Amrit who is one of the founding members of the People’s Alliance Party heads a board comprising PA 2023 election candidates Cecil Browne, and lawyer Mereoni Duaibe. Hamedra Nagin who is also a lawyer by profession sits on the new FBC Board too.
Amrit says more members are likely to be appointed. The appointment is for the next three years.
He added their specific role is to effectively represent and promote the interests of the shareholders “the people of Fiji.”
The appointments follow the resignation of the previous board less than a week ago.
