All schools, including private and preschools must remain closed, MOE

April 27, 2020

All schools including daycare centers and private schools will remain closed, as advised by the Ministry of Education, Heritage and the Arts.

This is in light of the COVID-19 precautionary measures by ensuring the safety of students and containing the spread of the pandemic.

Parents are advised to contact Heads of Schools concerning educational resources materials.

In a statement issued by the Ministry on the weekend, parents were reminded that the supplementary resources are non-examinable.

However, parents are advised to be innovative with other educational activities and not limit students with the resources supplied.

Dissemination of supplementary resources will be facilitated by the assistance of teachers who had resumed work from Monday April 14.

Students can also access other educational programmes on Radio Fiji One, Radio Fiji Two and Channel 9 on the Walesi digital platform.

Schools are expected to resume from June 16.
