March 17, 2022

Seventy per cent of the more than 8000 students that sat their year 13 exams passed, an outcome Fiji’s Minister for Education Premila Kumar says is pleasing in view of disruptions to schooling brought on by the COVID19 pandemic.

The highest mark of 395/400 was recorded by a student of Nadi Sangam School while Yat Sen Secondary in Suva and Duavata Secondary in the Bua/Macuata subdivision both scored a 100 per cent pass rate.

In the Lautoka/Nadi/Yasawa subdivision, Central College recorded a 99 per cent pass rate. Balata in the Ba/Tavua subdivision and Lomawai Secondary in Nadroga/Navosa are equal on 96%, followed by ACS and Yasayasa Moala at 92 per cent, Taveuni Secondary at 91 per cent and at Navesau Adventist, 86 per cent of students that sat their exams passed.

Sixty-five students who were not able to sit their exams for medical reasons including COVID19 applied for compassionate assessment.

Students have a 30-day window to apply for either recount or re-marking.

The release of Year 12 provisional results is tentatively set for 6 April.
