Army set up second meeting with NZ Women in 7s Cup final

Army defeated Seahawks 36-7 in one of the semi-finals to set up a second meeting in the Cup final against NZ Women.

The visitors have underlined themselves as title contenders after recording the biggest scoreline of the Lautoka 7s Series thus far in their 54-0 win over leg one winners Lautoka in their semi-final match-up.

The final encounter scheduled for 7.50pm today will be the two side’s second meeting after the local side lost to the visitors 5-0 in the pool rounds yesterday.

Army were the favourites heading into the competition, having won the previous leg in Sigatoka.
