Increase in fuel and LPG prices from tomorrow

Fuel and LPG prices will increase from tomorrow, according to Fiji’s Competition and Consumer Commission.

When compared to fuel prices offered in December last year, the price of motor spirit has increased by 44 per cent, premix up by 54 per cent, kerosene by 82 per cent, and diesel, 52 per cent.

The prices of LPG cylinders have increased as well across the board, up by 52 per cent, whereas bulk and auto gas have increased by 53 per cent, compared to the same period last year

Retail Fuel Prices (EFFECTIVE from tomorrow, Wednesday 1 December) :
• Motor Spirit from $2.53 to $2.75 per litre, an increase of 22 cents per litre;
• Premix from $2.14 to $2.35 per litre, an increase of 21 cents per litre;
• Kerosene from $1.57 to $1.82 per litre, an increase of 25 cents per litre; and
• Diesel from $2.10 to $2.31 per litre, an increase of 21 cents per litre.
Retail LPG Prices:
• 4.5kg Cylinder from $16.86 to $18.11, an increase of $1.25 cents per 4.5kg Cylinder;
• 12kg Cylinder from $44.96 to $48.30, an increase of $3.34 per 12kg Cylinder;
• 13kg Cylinder from $48.71 to $52.33, an increase of $3.62 per 13kg Cylinder;
• Bulk Gas* from $3.18 to $3.42, an increase of 24 cents per kg; and
• Autogas from $2.13 to $2.29, an increase of 16 cents per litre.
*Note: Bulk Gas price is Wholesale Vat Exclusive Price (VEP), while all other prices for Fuel and LPG
products stated above is Retail Vat Inclusive Price (VIP).
