Vaccination of eligible children aged 15 to 17 years with the Moderna vaccine begins from 9am today at designated sites in the central, western and northern divisions.
Online registration is open and parents are encouraged to register their children before vaccination via the site: https://vra.digitalfiji.gov.fj/MinorsRegistration/index.
For online registration, documentation required include the parent or guardian’s birth registration , citizenship or permit number, valid photo ID, date of birth and personal contact information. Also required for registration are the child’s full name, birth registration or citizenship number and FEMIS number.
Onsite registration can be done as well, and parents or guardians are required to provide a valid photo ID.
Parental or guardian consent is mandatory before vaccination. No vaccine will be administered to any child without the consent of the parent or guardian.
Parents and guardians are also reminded to ensure their child or charge is well fed and hydrated before going to the vaccination site. Other COVID-safe measures such as masking and 2m physical distancing are still intact.
