Fiji’s Ministry of Education says it is awaiting a detailed report from the headteacher of a school in Suva where a birthday celebration turned sour after students got sick, with two admitted at the CWM Hospital for further observation.
The ministry said the school immediately informed parents of the incident.
The students have received medical attention and are in stable condition. Two students have been admitted at the CWM for further observation, a ministry statement said.
According to media reports, the students fell ill after consuming chocolate that was brought to the school as part of the birthday celebration.
