Officer recovers from COVID-19: Fiji Police

A Fijian police officer who tested positive for COVID-19 while in India for medical treatment has recovered.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said the officer’s latest results returned negative.

The man has since been discharged from Max Hospital and is with his family awaiting the next available trip back to Fiji.

“On the 18th of May, medical clearance tests were conducted and the results which came out on the 21st of May returned positive for the Officer. The Fiji Police Force acknowledges the prayers and sentiments of well wishes relayed to the Officer and his family which has been a wonderful display of the “Veilomani” spirit that has brought us through this difficult period.”
